LittleBigPlanet release dates have been pushed back due to accidental offensive Qur’an statements in the soundtrack.
Eariler today, we posted about LittleBigPlanet’s release date for Europe getting pushed back. There were rumors that when people were playing the private demo of LBP they found offensive Qur’an statements.
But it didn’t make sense that Europe could be the only ones going to have a pushed back date. Later on today, Sony announced that the release dates will be pushed back worldwide.
During the review process prior to the release of LittleBigPlanet, it has been brought to our attention that one of the background music tracks licensed from a record label for use in the game contains two expressions that can be found in the Qur’an,” admitted the company in a statement.
We have taken immediate action to rectify this and we sincerely apologise for any offence that this may have caused.
But the release dates have been roughly confirmed; North America will have their release on October 27th and Europeans have it on October 31st.

This reminds me so much about Brawl. We were so close and they change the date within 7 days of the release.
