Amy appeared as one of the main characters in the latest
Sonic anime series, Sonic X. Sonic X is Amy’s first
appearance to the Sonic TV series. In Sonic X, Amy is
Sonic’s self-proclaimed girlfriend. (I hate to say that
really, but I had to…) Like in all of her game
appearances, her long term goal is to marry Sonic the
Hedgehog and get Sonic to notice her. Her attitude is
different in Sonic X, as she is more violent then in her
video game appearances.
Sonic’s love for Amy Rose is still unclear. In episode 52,
when Sonic held up a rose to Amy, in the Japanese version
what Sonic said was muted. In the 4Kids English version, he
said he will never leave Amy and in the French version, he
said he loves Amy.
Sonic also risks his life to save Amy in episode 9, when Amy
was drowning and he had to save her even know he CAN’T swim.
Amy in episode 72, willingly risked her life to into saving
Sonic in Dark Oak’s planet knowing there maybe no way out of
that planet.
