Smash X status

Smash X, the sequel to the original RPG here at SAR, is currently CLOSED until further notice. This is because the Smash X team are working on improving it. We don’t have an ETA as to when Smash X will be back, but hopefully it will be back soon.

We are sorry for any problems this is causing, but soon, Smash X will be back up and running. Until then, we hope you can bear with us.

Why do you like Sonamy?
Well…I’m like…a huge fan of Sonamy… I’m not interested of this whole “Sonic” thing really…but I do support this only couple as they do look really cute with each other! You can say I’m really disappointed with Sega…for not letting this couple together at the moment…but it can happen in future…with Sonamy fans around, you may never know… ^.^

Why did you create Sonamy Revolution?
To extend the support of Sonamy of course! There are not much Sonamy sites around…well there are, but they are from freewebs…and their sites don’t really update as much…and the sites are SO small and dead…the ONLY Sonamy site that active apart from this is Twinkle Park, although they haven’t updated for a while.

Did you expect your site to go this far?
NO! Of course not! To be honest, when I first opened the site I expected no visitors and probably end up as the other small Sonamy sites…I never expected on bit that this site has gone far! I’m very happy with the result! I’m really shocked…honest! ^.^

I’m not a huge fan of Sonamy…in fact I do not support a Sonic couple at all, but why should Sonic be with Amy?
Because! =P
Nah…that’s not my answer. The reason why Sonic should be with Amy because well he needs a nice, lovely girl now right? ^_^ And I’m NOT talking about Sally…If Sally reappears I will hate Sega at all costs. Because she will just ruin everything and then not making the Sonamy love happen. Anyway back to the question, I love Amy (<3) because well her attitude is almost the same as mine. Although, if I have a crush on a boy I will not behave like Amy. @.@ Sonic needs to have a date now right? And she’s the only female that has the same species as him! Poor Amy, she really loves Sonic and Sonic just doesn’t understand her yet…or he thinks what Amy’s doing is childish…but she isn’t! I KNOW Sonic loves Amy…he isn’t just admitting! WHY? If I was in the Sega Team trust me I’ll make the Sonamy love happen. >.<

Our Old Layouts

Sonamy Revolution has three old layouts already. This current one we have will not be changed for a very long time. Actually, no plans of changing this layout until maybe sometime late 2009. But thankies for checking out our site layouts from the past! Click on the titles to see the visual look!

Design 1 | SAR Pinky (7th July 2007 - 31st January 2008)
This first design is probably the second best layout we ever had. Since our grand opening, everyone enjoyed it. The layout was made by me with some help. But the system I used to make the site happen isn’t made by me…or my friends…it was from Joomla.

Design 2 | SAR Purplicious (1st February 2008 - 18th February 2008)
I was bored, so I decided to redesign the SAR layout for 2008. I made the layout more purple…which is not good really…arguably purple is not really a Sonamy feeling…also people from the Sonamy Revolution Forums had their thought and said that it’s not the best layout and the old one was better. It was sort of rushed too. So because of that, I had to quickly think of a new design which brings us back to pink instead of purple. Also a more attracting layout than design 1 and design 2. So I had to plan this all out…

Design 3 | SAR Revolved (19th February 2008 - 14th October 2008)
Back to the pink theme, and this is made by pure HTML…this design isn’t using one of these content management systems like Mambo or MKPortal whatever you call them..but now this site is standing on its own without a CMS. But the sad thing about this though…I can’t really update the site much faster as I used to without Mambo…but oh well. This design has the longest record of almost going through a whole year without the design change.

Design 4 | SAR Power (15th October 2008 - Present)
We have moved to WordPress on this one. The current design we have is actually more SonAmy looking unlike the previous one. I think this layout has the same quality as the old one…maybe even better~!

Sonamy Revolution’s History

Sonamy Revolution had an official grand opening at 7th July 2007. Sonamy Revolution was completed at February 2006 and was hosted in Geocities, but was unable to have a grand opening due to personal reasons at home.
My friend (Cyber brother) Edward owns a server served with lots of features. I asked him if I can host Sonamy Revolution in his server, and guess what the reply is? YES! So in a matter of days, SAR secretly moved to the Sonic Force Server. We needed a layout, so we quickly got Mambo and installed it. Edward made the layout skin and I only helped a bit. @.@ Also in addition, he gave me an IPB license for free! So generous! So on 7th July, the forums and the website was ready.
From 19th February 2008, SAR is NO longer using Mambo and now using HTML and a tiny bit of PHP to keep the site running.
Later, the SAR team decided to move the website to WordPress in mid-October. We think that it is easier and more organized this way.
This site is quite known in places, while Sonamy Revolution is only one year old. Read my interview with Edward for more information why I made Sonamy Revolution, alright? ^_^
