• Will only be released on 360/PS3 Update: Wii version confirmed. Update2: I-Phone version confirmed.
  
• Will be Download only, no disk version
• Continues from Sonic & Knuckles
• Will be released in episodic fashion
• 4 stages plus a special zone available in each episode
• Return to Zone and Act Level structure
• Special zones make a comeback
• Super Sonic playthrough when you get the Chaos Emeralds return
• Game will be on a 2D plane but 3D Environment
• Return of the classic Sonic gameplay with the inclusion of the homing attack.
• Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and Eggman are confirmed to feature, only Sonic confirmed playable, Eggman is the Antagonist
• Release date given is Summer 2010

well for one i hated the damn playable character crap they pulled, it was just pointless announcing only sonic as playable cause we all bloody knew that.

and im not liking the whole downloadable fact. id rather have it on some sort of format

I don't think you can Jazz cause from what it sounds like it won't be on the Wii

Oh, it's confirmed to be on the Wii. With the exception of low resolution, the game will be the same as the PS360 versions.

As you can see, it uses modern Sonic and Eggman. Although, with the trailer, Sonic's running animation looks... awkward.

EDIT: Oh yeah, I forgot to mention. It takes place right after Sonic 3! Which means Shadow will not be involved in the Episodic releases (good for most of you, I assume?).

Bet my busket the mystery platform will be the DSi. That or maybe the PSP but most likely DSi since more people seem to own a DSi.

DS is quite a bit more popular Sozin, it's sold twice as much as the PSP and is the second highest selling video game hardware ever and highest selling handheld. I wouldn't be surprised if it usurped the PS2 as the best selling video game system by the end of its life-span.

Anyway, I've seen a good bit of evidence pointing toward Apple's App Store as being the "mystery" platform.

I'm looking forward to the game, but I'm worried about the episodic format they're going with. I know it's a bit silly, but I hope the inclusion of the homing attack isn't too intrusive.

Yeah, it's more-or-less been confirmed the iPhone is the mystery platform. Source: I'd rather not look through the topic again (seriously, it's over 160 pages. with 20 of 'em being in the past 20 hours), but some guys at Retro have torn apart the official site and found pics that say the iPhone is the 4th platform.

The touch is essentially the same as the iPhone, just without the phone part (and camera?). So, yeah, it's likely the iPod Touch would also have it.

Honestly, the person who recorded that is pretty freakin terrible. Shaky cam, not so good gameplay...

Now then, I'm hoping that it's an alpha build (I think it was said to be that, somewhere). Other than that, it's looking excellent ('cept for the jumping animation)!

Well we need to remember that becase of the fact that Sega ripped all of the Sonic characters from the game except for Sonic himself. (Which was pretty obvious it was going to happen) We still need to remember that this isn't going to be the new biggest seller for Sonic games because it will only be downloadable. Also yeah I agree that they should have done a better job on the recording.
