The last Sonic the Hedgehog racing game (not counting the flying snowboard business) was Sonic R on the Saturn, back in 1997. Sega has revived the idea of a Sonic racing game in the form of Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing, adding some friends from other Sega games, including Super Monkey Ball's AiAi the monkey and Samba de Amigo's Amigo the ... other monkey.

Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing will be out on PS3, Xbox 360, Wii and DS in 2010. The announcement doesn't mention PC, but there's a "PC DVD" logo at the end.

Super late reply time! Yes, I'm thinking of getting it for the PS3. I may get it for the Wii, but I think the online and possible DLC will have me buying the PS3 version.

And yay for Ryo fans! I'm really just waiting for Ulala and Nights official confirmation now. Ristar would be nice too though!

Well, Nights has already been "leaked," so there goes that idea. But seeing Ristar would be nice, but I'd really like to see Vectorman in it!

And I think it's already been confirmed there would DLC. I think... I just hope they have it for the PC version, too.

NiGHTS fans will be pleased to know that NiGHTS is in Sonic and Sega all stars racing...Until you find out he will not be a playable character, rather serve the purpose the Lakitu serves in Mario Kart, behold NiGHTS the Flagman:

Also, it's looks like Heroes because of the quality of those screens. The in-game stuff, particularly the tracks, is amazing.

I've had a try of the 360 demo. Play as either Sonic or Banjo and Kazooie and race on Water Palace race track. Feels very Familiar to Mario Kart, All Star moves can be pretty effective, You might not get the same satisfaction of hitting with a weapon as you just spin when hit with any weapon.

Yeah, I believe that Sumo acknowledged that it is a pic from deviantart, and they're sorry for it. BUT! The artist, RianaLD, isn't all that upset, but rather honored.
